Farm Credit System Celebrates Centennial Year

The celebration is already under way, and will peak this summer with the anniversary of the Federal Farm Loan Act of 1916.

As part of the centennial, Farm Credit will recognize 100 visionaries for their contributions to agriculture and rural communities. Nominations closed in December for the Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives program, which received 1,097 submissions nationwide, including 86 from our district’s five-state territory. Listed below are upcoming centennial events:

March 15: The Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honorees will be announced on National Ag Day, and will be recognized on FarmCredit100.com, the System's centennial website.

March 30–April 1: The Farm Credit Bank of Texas Annual Stockholders Meeting in Austin, Texas, will include a centennial celebration; reports from the bank, System and outside experts; and recognition of Farm Credit Young Leaders Program participants.
