At Louisiana Land Bank, we share our success with our customers. Sharing profits is a benefit of doing business with a cooperative. We are owned by our customers, and when we do well, they benefit.

Every year, the board of directors decides whether or not a distribution can be made, how much the distribution should be, and how much of our earnings need to be maintained as capital to fund our growth. Then, the board is able to return the remainder as a patronage to you. A portion of this is delivered to you in cash, but it can also be reflected in allocated equity. Plus, it lowers your effective interest rate. No other type of lender offers you such an advantage.
