Louisiana Land Bank Returns $4.7 Million in Patronage

Louisiana Land Bank recently paid a $4.7 million cash patronage to its customers, based on the rural financing cooperative's 2007 financial results.

This is the tenth consecutive year that Louisiana Land Bank has declared a dividend or patronage payment to its customers. With this year’s distribution, the co-op has returned over $35 million in stock refunds, dividends and patronage to stockholders since 1996.

"Louisiana Land Bank is a cooperative owned by its borrowers, and patronage payments are an essential aspect of our business philosophy,” said Darrel Jans, chief executive officer. “We had a solid year in 2007 and are pleased to pass along that success to our borrowers."
